TL Steelworks works from a 15,000 sq ft fabrication facility at Ebblake Industrial Estate in Verwood, Dorset. From there we supply and install structural steelwork, bespoke fabrication, steel beams, RSJs and architectural metalwork across Dorset, Hampshire and the wider south of England.
We are based in Verwood, on the Dorset side of the Dorset and Hampshire border, with quick access to the A31 and the wider trunk road network. That position is why our work concentrates on east Dorset and south-west Hampshire rather than being spread thinly across the country.
Every town below has its own page setting out what we do there, the districts we cover, the local building control authority and the practical issues that come up. If your project is nearby but not listed, call us — the honest answer is usually yes, and if it is not, we will say so.

The same five, everywhere we work, because they all come out of the same Verwood workshop:
Steel fabrication — bespoke steelwork made to drawings, from a single bracket to a full package.
Structural steelwork — beams, columns, goal post frames and frames built to an engineer’s calculations.
Steel beams — universal beams, columns, RSJs and the padstones and bearing details that go with them.
RSJ installation — survey, propping, lifting and bearing, not just delivery.
Architectural metalwork — staircases, balustrades, balconies, gates and railings.
Because it changes who signs your work off, and people working across east Dorset cross the boundary constantly without noticing.
BCP Council — Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole — handles building control for Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch.
Dorset Council handles building control for Ferndown, Wimborne, Verwood, Blandford, Dorchester and Weymouth, including our own base.
Different authority, different application route, different inspection booking. If you have just finished a job in Poole and your next one is in Wimborne, do not assume the process carries over.
The structural requirement itself is the same nationally: Approved Document A covers loadings and the construction of structural elements, whichever council is inspecting.
We regularly work beyond the towns listed above, across Dorset, Hampshire and the south of England, supported by access to the A31 and the wider road network. Larger structural packages travel further than a single beam does, simply because the transport cost is a smaller share of the job.
The practical test is whether we can service the project properly — survey it, deliver to it, and come back if something needs adjusting. If we cannot do that well, we will tell you rather than take the work.
One customer summed up the working relationship simply: “Their attention to detail and on-time delivery really impressed us.”
Ready to price it up? Send your structural drawings, a sketch, or even a photo of the wall you want to open up, and we will come back with a tailored quotation. Call 01202 285449, or request a quote for your project.

Delivery is one line in a quotation rather than a separate rate card. Distance affects it, but so do load size, access and whether deliveries need to be staggered. We will show you what it is.
Yes. Collection suits nearby towns particularly well, and for some structural steelwork same-day or next-day collection may be available. Confirm when you place the order.
Yes, across the south of England, and more readily for larger structural packages than for single items. Ask us about your location and we will give you a straight answer.
It depends on the town. BCP Council covers Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. Dorset Council covers Ferndown, Wimborne, Verwood, Dorchester and Weymouth. Southampton has its own city council.
Yes. Site surveys are part of our normal process, using total stations as well as traditional measurement where the geometry justifies it.
Yes, and it is common for builders and developers. One point of contact, one set of drawings, one delivery schedule across sites.
